Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a skilled Mechanic to service pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes and other rotating equipment. The role involves disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and precise documentation under the Shop Manager's guidance.

You will troubleshoot, interpret OEM manuals, and ensure safety protocols are followed while building strong relationships with customers and continuing your training for career growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures.
  • Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
  • Valid driver's license; able to pass drug test and background check.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
  • Coachable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.
  • Ensure proper documentation of repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
  • Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
  • Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
  • Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.
  • Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $25/hr. to $35/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.
