OTC Industrial Technologies in Dodge City, KS, is seeking a Mechanic to join our team. The role offers an hourly wage of $25–$35, depending on experience and qualifications. You will work on pumps, compressors, turbines, and related rotating equipment, under the Shop Manager's direction.

Responsibilities include disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. You will read technical drawings and OEM manuals, document findings, and maintain safety standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
• Strong understanding of fits, tolerances, and alignment.
• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards for rotating equipment.
• Good communication and self-motivation.

Competitive Pay:

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $25/hr. to $35/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do:

• Performs duties assigned under the direction of Shop Manager to ensure the team is aligned to the goals and objectives for the team for each day.
• Perform and oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis on equipment failures.
• Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus. Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
• Strong understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures.
• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
• Valid driver's license; able to pass drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Coachable and eager to learn.
