Job summary

Xcimer Energy in Denver, CO, is seeking a Pulsed Power Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production of pulsed power assemblies and integrated products. You will translate engineering designs into hardware ready for test, improve production lines, and ensure quality standards on the shop floor.

You will author work instructions, train technicians, drive continuous improvement, and serve as the first point of contact for escalation of technical issues.

Qualifications

• Provide DFM/A input to product design to simplify processes and tooling.
• Author or modify validation procedures (pressure tests, HV checks).
• Translate design intent into fully hardware ready for test and use.
• Create, interpret, and modify work instructions and routings.
• Drive continuous improvement of quality, cost, and build sequences.
• Provide oversight during assembly and hands-on technician support.
• Define and support repair and rework procedures as needed.
• Handle procurement activities for hardware, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain operation of equipment and systems with pedigree control.
• Validate safety procedures with engineers and safety personnel.
• Coach and mentor junior manufacturing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide DFM/A input to reduce process complexity and tooling needs.
• Develop and modify inter-assembly validation procedures for builds.
• Translate drawings and configurations into functional hardware for testing.
• Create work instructions and routings to convey procedures to technicians.
• Drive improvements to quality, throughput, and build sequencing.
• Serve as on-floor engineering lead during assembly and testing activities.
• Define repair and rework procedures and disposition NCRs with the Responsible Engineer.
• Procure hardware, tools, and facility equipment as needed.
• Maintain equipment operation and configuration pedigree through build/test phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians; escalate and resolve issues.
