Job summary

Xcimer Energy in Denver, CO, seeks a Pulsed Power Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production of pulsed power assemblies and integrated products. You will translate designs into hardware, improve production lines, and ensure top-notch quality through hands-on guidance and development of work instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience in an R&D environment.
• Experience developing manufacturing work instructions for fabrication, assembly, testing, and integration processes.
• Strong management skills in quality control, build sequence optimization, and schedule adherence.
• Engineering drawing reviews and final approval for manufacturing.
• Root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing principles, including GD&T.
• Proficiency with CAD (Siemens NX) and MS Office tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide DFM/DFMA input to simplify processes and tooling.
• Author or modify inter-assembly validation procedures (pressure tests, HV checks).
• Translate engineering intent into functional hardware for test and use.
• Create and modify work instructions and routings for technicians and material planning.
• Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Oversee and assist during assembly by interdisciplinary technicians.
• Define and support repair and rework procedures; disposition NCRs as needed.
• Handle procurement for hardware, tools, and facility equipment.
• Maintain operation of equipment and systems; manage hardware pedigree.
• Validate safety procedures with engineers and safety personnel.
• Coach and mentor junior manufacturing engineers and technicians.
