Job summary

Xcimer Energy in Denver, CO is seeking a Pulsed Power Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production of pulsed power assemblies and integrated products, and to ensure quality and throughput. You will author work instructions, train staff, and drive continuous improvement of processes and schedules.

Requirements include a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing/engineering in an R&D environment, plus strong RCA, GD&T, and CAD (Siemens NX) skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Aerospace Engineering or work equivalent.
• 5+ years of direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience in an R&D environment.
• Experience developing clear manufacturing work instructions for fabrication, assembly, testing, and integration.
• Strong management skills in quality control, build sequence optimization, and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities

• Provide DFM/A input to the product design team to simplify processes and tooling.
• Author/review/modify inter-assembly validation procedures (pressure tests, HV checks).
• Translate engineering intent into hardware ready for test and use.
• Create and modify work instructions and routings for procedures and material planning.
• Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequences.
• Provide hands-on assembly oversight and support.
• Define and support repair and rework procedures; disposition NCRs where delegated.
• Handle procurement for hardware, tools, and facility equipment.
• Maintain operation of equipment and systems; manage hardware configuration.
• Validate assembly safety procedures with interdisciplinary engineers and safety personnel.
• Coach and mentor junior manufacturing engineers and technicians.
