Job summary

ABB in Westerville, OH, is seeking a qualified QCS engineer to lead system software activities on medium complexity projects. You'll tackle planning, specification development, and on-site deployment with customers.

The role requires a engineering degree and 4+ years in QCS or related fields, English proficiency, and familiarity with VMware vSphere, networking, and industrial automation. ABB offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Paper Science and 4 years of QCS experience preferred.
Fluent in written and verbal English; Spanish a plus.
VMware vSphere and networking knowledge desirable.
Experience with industrial automation systems and MS operating systems.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for software proposals and plans.
Develop System Functional Specification for all projects when lead role is assigned.
Prepare System software and make ready for internal integration test; support integration test.
Support Factory Acceptance Test with Customer, if included in project.
Commissioning: support system implementation at Customer site and start-up activities.
Provide Level 3 support line coverage on periodic basis; drive to resolution.
Ensure Customer feedback is communicated to Project Manager.
