Job summary

ABB in Westerville, OH is seeking a QCS Engineering professional to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline on small to mid-size projects. You will lead system software development, coordinate tests, and support customer deployment on site.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Paper Science and several years of related experience, fluent English (Spanish a plus), and familiarity with VMware, networking, and industrial automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of professional work or related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Paper Science, and 4 years of QCS application experience in the Pulp and Paper industry is preferred.
• Fluent in written and verbal English, Spanish a plus.
• VMware vSphere Knowledge a plus.
• Networking Knowledge a plus.
• Previous Industrial Automation Experience a plus.
• Microsoft Operating Systems Experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for software specials proposals and planning/schedule management.
• Develop System Functional Specification for projects when lead role is assigned; manage System software implementation when lead role is assigned.
• Prepare System software and ready for internal integration test; support integration test of systems during internal testing; support Factory Acceptance Test with Customer if included in project.
• Support system implementation at Customer site and assist start-up activities; document and drive resolution of system software issues.
• Provide Level 3 support line coverage on a periodic basis; communicate feedback to Engineering Manager for knowledge transfer to the group.
• Ensure Customer satisfaction by providing technical support during start-up, optimization and results stages; relay feedback to Project Manager.
