Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Pulp Mill in Rumford, ME. You will lead safety-driven maintenance, plan and execute mechanical work, and drive reliability improvements across rotating equipment, pumps, and conveyors.

You will supervise planners and hourly maintenance staff, coordinate outages, and partner with reliability and engineering teams to reduce downtime while maintaining budgeted costs.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in heavy industrial maintenance.
• 3–5 years in leadership supervising maintenance teams.
• Experience in pulp and paper preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and process equipment.
• Experience with SAP CMMS and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety as a core value and promote zero injuries.
• Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution in the Pulp Mill.
• Direct planners, reliability personnel, and maintenance staff.
• Develop maintenance strategies to improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Lead outages, shutdowns, and turnaround activities within budget.
• Coordinate contractors and internal maintenance teams.
• Drive RCFA investigations and long-term improvement actions.
• Coach and develop maintenance personnel and foster succession planning.
