Job summary

KOPA, Inc in Florida seeks a Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat residents at Avante at Leesburg. You’ll lead a NP team, oversee patient health, and educate patients and families on prevention and treatments.

Responsibilities include exams, testing, prescribing, coordinating care, and developing workflows to support specialized infection control needs while remaining adaptable for coverage at other facilities in the state.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a skilled nursing setting.
• Experience in primary, acute, and chronic care.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and their medical records.
• Order and study diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Inform patients about health conditions and medications.
• Educate patients and families on diseases and prevention.
• Oversee patients’ overall health and promote good practices.
• Supervise and mentor a team of nurse practitioners.
• Lead team meetings and onboarding of new NPs.
• Assist in creating workflows and best practices.
• Provide coverage at other Florida facilities when needed.
