Advocate Health’s Kenilworth Pulmonary Medicine clinic in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Medical Assistant for full-time, 40 hours per week, M-F 7:45–4:30. Sign-on bonus eligible with a pay range of $21.85–$32.80 per hour.

The role includes rooming, vital signs, labs, POCT, vaccines, documentation, referrals, and patient communication. Requires high school diploma or GED and a Medical Assistant program; BLS may be required depending on division.

• : High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training per DD214/ EMT per division.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, history, meds reconciliation, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties including venipuncture.
• Performs POCT and CLIA-waived tests per orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of medication administration.
• Handles scheduling, referrals, insurance authorizations, and patient messaging.
