Job summary

Novant Health’s Pulmonary Progressive Care unit in Forsyth Medical Center – Winston-Salem, NC, seeks an RN to provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients with acute and chronic conditions. You will perform focused assessments, intervene early for patients with worsening oxygen needs, and manage specialized devices such as tracheostomies and CPAP/BIPAP.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, with a 4-year degree preferred, and current RN licensure with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred.
• If RN license inactive for 5+ years and no licensure elsewhere in the last 5 years, refresher course is required before reinstatement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
• Perform focused respiratory assessments and intervene early for escalating oxygen/ventilator needs.
• Manage tracheostomy and ventilated patient care, CPAP/BIPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Chest tube care and respiratory device management.
• Advanced respiratory assessment and intervention.
