Job summary

Novant Health’s Pulmonary Progressive Care unit is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts to provide comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.

You will perform focused respiratory assessments, intervene for escalating oxygen needs and manage ventilated patients, including tracheostomies and CPAP/BIPAP therapy. The team emphasizes collaboration, support, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• If RN license inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and not licensed in another state in the last five years, complete a Board approved refresher course before reactivating license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
• Perform focused respiratory assessments and intervene early for patients with escalating oxygen and ventilatory needs.
• Manage specialized skills including: Tracheostomy and ventilated patient care, CPAP/BIPAP, and chest tube management.
• Advanced respiratory assessment and intervention, tracheostomy and ventilated patient management.
• CPAP/BIPAP & heated high flow oxygen therapy.
