Novant Health is expanding its 20-bed Intermediate Critical Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Join a team delivering high-acuity care to a diverse patient population in a supportive environment.

The RN will provide direct patient care in the critical care setting, participate in ongoing patient assessments, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective treatment. Strong leadership and commitment to patient safety are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• RN licensure current in the appropriate state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• If RN license inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and not licensed in another state in the last five years, complete a Board-approved refresher before reactivating.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Intermediate Critical Care Unit.
• Monitor patients and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and allied health staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)

Graduate of accredited school of nursing

Patient Population

• Critical Care


• Chronic and Acute Medical Patients


• Surgical Patients


• Neurological Complications


• Respiratory Distress


• Detox/Withdrawal Patients

Clinical Experience Includes

• Titratable IV Drips


• Chest Tubes


• BiPAP


• High-Flow Oxygen


• Stable Tracheostomies (No Ventilators)


• Continuous In-Room Monitoring

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  
  
  
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
