Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Pulmonologist to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. Practice Highlights
  • 36 hours of patient care and 4 hours admin time.
  • Outpatient pulmonary medicine seeing 14-16 patients per day.
  • PFT Lab on site; managed by pulmonary practice.
  • Shares responsibility for interprofessional consultations (E-Consults).
  • Performs virtual care as needed.
  • Manages patient panel and cross covers for team as necessary.
  • Manages COPD, Asthma, ILD, Lung Masses.
  • Single location, no hospital call responsibility.
  • Guaranteed Salary.
  • Systemwide EPIC EMR.
  • MA/RN Support.
Responsibilities

Summary: Serves as a Pulmonary physician.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers clinical care to patients in the PMG Pulmonary clinic.
  • Delivers inpatient Pulmonary and Critical Care depending on inpatient pointage.
  • Inpatient duties defined by Critical Care director.
  • Participates in Triage schedule.
  • Shares responsibility for PFT interpretation.
  • Shares responsibility for virtual Lung Nodule consultations.
  • Attendance of monthly department meetings when not working inpatient or on vacation.
  • Support mechanisms to gather and report quality measures.
  • Receives and resolves patient, staff and provider complaints.
  • Participates in quality improvement plans.
  • Participates in the recruitment and retention of physicians and staff who work in the practice.
  • Performs other functions as required.
Credentials Required

M.D./D.O. in Pulmonary or Pulmonary/Critical Care. Current New Mexico License required. Board certified in Pulmonary Medicine.

Physical Requirements

Ability to determine care plans for patients and execute them. Ability to teach and be a resource for nursing staff and respiratory therapy. Sits, stands, walks 8-12 hours a day. Assumes and maintains various postural positions from ground to overhead.
