Job summary

Children's Health in Plano, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our Pulmonary Care team. This full-time, on-site role delivers outpatient care, assists with exams, collects specimens, and coordinates patient intake and EHR documentation.

The position requires excellent organization, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic. Basic life support certification is required, with additional MA education and training opportunities available to advance your skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.

Responsibilities

• ALL MEDICAL ACTS PERFORMED BY A MEDICAL ASSISTANT ARE PURSUANT TO DELEGATION BY AND UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A PHYSICIAN.
• Escorts patient to treatments, exams, and procedures and prepares patients for examinations by collecting data and documenting in EHR.
• Obtain past medical history and history of current illness/condition; collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as ordered.
• Provide front desk support including scheduling, registration, and insurance processing; assist with administrative duties as needed.

Education
