Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• CMA or RMA certification must be obtained within first year of employment.
• Clinic/physician office experience preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic medical assistant functions (vitals, rooming, assist with procedures, immunizations, injections) under supervision.
• Maintains aseptic technique for procedures and medications.
• Accurately documents all patient interactions in the EMR.
• Reports results and pertinent information to patients and health care team members.
• Supports team with cross-coverage as needed.
