Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) must be obtained within first year.
• Clinic/physician office experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire (American Heart Association acceptable).
• Mandatory Reporter training completed within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures, exams and operation of diagnostic equipment as assigned.
• Maintain aseptic technique for procedures and medications.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the patient record.
• Report results and pertinent information to patients and health care team.
• Function within the scope of license/certification; provide vitals and rooming under supervision.
