Aurora Health Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist at the St. Luke's Pulmonary Clinic. You will perform advanced pulmonary diagnostic testing, administer inhaled medications, and analyze results within a patient-centered, safety-conscious environment.

The role requires an associate degree in respiratory care and RCP licensure, with opportunity for CPFT/RPFT certification within 18 months. 0.8 FTE, day shifts, no weekends, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required by the state of practice.
• Active CPFT or RPFT certification preferred or obtained within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs pulmonary diagnostic testing including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion studies, bronchial provocation tests and inhaled medication administration.
• Ensures effective communication and teamwork, with focus on patient safety and quality of care.
• Ability to assess patient needs and age-specific considerations, providing appropriate interventions as per department standards.
• Contributes to safety by adhering to policies and reporting safety events and near misses.
