Job summary

Critical Care Pulmonary and Sleep Associates in the Denver metro area is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a part-time role (20 hours/week) spanning our Lakewood and Westminster clinics. The RT must hold CO license with PFT credentials; RRT preferred, and experience in pulmonary function testing is highly valued.

The position supports RNs and MAs, assists in oxygen/PAP management, patient education, and coordination of care, contributing to exceptional patient experiences in outpatient

Qualifications

• RT license required, RRT preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the respiratory field.
• 3 years’ experience performing PFTs and methacholine challenges preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient care in outpatient settings.
• Respect patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Superior communication skills with patients and staff.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Computer proficiency, knowledge of EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote the CCPSA culture of team collaboration, while providing excellent clinical care to our patients.
• Perform Pulmonary Function Testing and Methacholine Challenges.
• Build strong positive communication with clinic staff to increase the success of the practice and provide excellent patient care.
• In collaboration with the Providers, develop patient education on PFT testing, inhalers and oxygen.
• Perform prior authorizations of PFT tests.
• Provide group education classes -O2, inhalers, specific disease education.
• Provide staff education.
• Communicate PFT and methacholine results to patients.
• Patient support for respiratory related clinical questions.
