Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee's St. Luke's Pulmonary Clinic is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform diagnostic testing, administer inhaled therapies and support patient care.

The role requires maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The position is 0.8 FTE with daytime hours, no weekends or holidays, offering a competitive hourly pay range and a comprehensive benefits package including retirement

Qualifications

• Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
• Active CPFT or RPFT certification within 18 months of hire
• Graduate from accredited respiratory care program with an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Performs pulmonary diagnostic testing including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion studies and bronchial provocation tests.
• Administers inhaled medications per provider order and collects blood gas samples.
• May perform home oxygen assessments, 6-minute walks and indirect calorimetry.
• Provides bronchoscopy assists and ensures patient safety and quality of care.
