Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital is seeking a Pulmonary Function Technologist for per diem days in New York, NY. The role offers day shifts in the PFT laboratory with no weekends, on-site at the Wellness Center on 170 William Street.

You will perform spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, and ABG testing, ensuring equipment readiness and data quality while adhering to high standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by NYS Education Dept.
• Minimum 1 year experience in spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion and ABG testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function tests including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, airway resistance and ABG testing.
• Prepare, assemble and verify calibration and cleanliness of equipment.
• Collect and evaluate clinical data and perform quality control analysis.
• Maintain highest standards of practice and safety in the PFT lab.
