Job summary

UCI Health in Orange and Irvine seeks a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff by taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene and elimination, and maintaining a clean, safe unit. You will also help stock supplies and operate hospital equipment.

Will float between Orange and Irvine locations as needed; must be able to read, write and speak English and hold or be enrolled in a CNA/LVN program with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (issued by the AHA).
• Must be able to float between Orange and Irvine locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with related duties.
