UCI Health in Orange and Irvine seeks a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff by taking vital signs, aiding with hygiene and elimination, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe patient unit.

The role requires English fluency, CNA or LVN certification (or enrollment in a nursing program with at least one clinical semester), and current BLS. Ability to work weekends and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English
• Current BLS certification
• Certification as Nursing Assistant (CNA) or LVN; or enrolled in accredited nursing program with at least one clinical semester
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in acute care setting
• Ability to float between Orange and Irvine locations

Responsabilités

• Taking and recording vital signs
• Assisting patients with hygiene and elimination
• Maintaining a clean and safe unit environment
• Stocking unit supplies
• Operating hospital equipment as directed
• Performing routine clerical tasks
• Assisting with other related duties as assigned
