Job summary

Takeda's Global Medical Affairs Oncology team in Boston is seeking a publication and scientific communications leader. You will shape strategies and drive the development and timely delivery of publications across oncology programs, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with medical affairs, clinical development, outcomes research, and regional teams to align scientific communications with broader medical strategies, while guiding authors and external experts.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in healthcare or related field, incl. 3 years in medical publications development/execution.
• Knowledge of publication planning processes and industry publication standards (GPP, authorship guidelines).
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication for interpreting complex scientific data.
• Experience overseeing external vendors/services to support program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute publication and scientific communication plans with cross-functional teams.
• Lead publication planning activities across assigned programs with timelines and stakeholder alignment.
• Review publications to ensure accuracy, rigor, and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with authors and external experts to support content development.
• Oversee vendors and resources to support publication plans and budgets.
• Develop scientific communication materials (presentations, training resources).
• Provide guidance and training on publication strategy and best practices.
