Job summary

Takeda Oncology is seeking an Associate Director, Scientific Communications Lead to define and drive the global publication strategy for hematology assets, overseeing cross-functional teams and ensuring scientific rigor and compliance. This role will lead the development of publications and medical communications tactics across programs.

You will manage vendors, lead publication planning, budget, and internal training, collaborating with medical affairs, clinical development, and outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline plus long-term experience in pharma/biotech; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years healthcare or related experience with 3+ years in medical publications within pharma/biotech or medical communications.
  • Knowledge of good publication practice (GPP3), ICMJE guidelines, and CONSORT.
  • Oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global or regionally integrated strategic publication and scientific communications plans.
  • Lead publications planning team and manage development of publications for external audiences.
  • Oversee budgeting, vendor management, and Datavision for publications activities.
  • Ensure compliance with global standards and scientific rigor across programs.
  • Provide training and guidance on publication strategy and tactical execution.
