Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of law practice experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with professional education or publishing organizations, including subscription-based products.
• Extensive experience supervising professional staff and leading teams.
• Ability to manage multimillion-dollar budgets and major projects.
• Strong knowledge of intellectual property law and contract negotiation.
• Understanding of Internet-based products, databases, and website functionality.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the creation and production of online content and print publications.
• Develop content plans, track progress, and report status for Michigan lawyers.
• Lead advisory boards and supervise staff writers/editors.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote online and print products.
• Develop outreach strategies to grow the network of lawyers and related professionals.
• Oversee quality standards and institute-wide curation systems.
• Manage annual budgets, contracts, and financial performance.
• Provide administrative and functional management of seminar planning attorneys and support staff.
• Direct departmental resources and ensure projects meet deadlines and goals.
• Lead cross-department collaboration with instructional design for engaging education.

Education

Juris Doctorate degree and member of the State Bar of Michigan
