Job summary

The City of Webster is seeking a Utility Equipment Operator to maintain water and sewer systems and to skillfully operate related equipment. The role requires on-call duties in the evenings and on weekends and entails directing other staff as needed.

Applicants must have over one year of relevant experience and are encouraged to obtain TCEQ Class D Water and Wastewater licenses within six months after hire. This essential service position supports public health and infrastructure in Webster.

Qualifications

• Over one year of relevant experience required.
• Valid Texas CDL Driver's License (preferred).
• Preferred Equipment Operator Certification.
• Preferred Class "D" Water and Wastewater Operator Licenses from TCEQ.

Responsibilities

• Maintain City's utility services by monitoring water and sewer systems and operating equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and interface with City employees and citizens.
• Operate backhoes, tractors, box blades, mowers, forklifts, dump trucks, and wood-chippers.
• Demonstrate proficiency in selected equipment during the interview process.
