Town of Troutman is seeking a PUBLIC WORKS TECHNICIAN to perform unskilled and semi-skilled duties in the operation, maintenance and repair of town infrastructure and assets. The role involves water distribution systems, sewer lines, street maintenance, landscaping, and related tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Applicants should be capable of handling light to medium equipment, following safety practices, and working under supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Experience in semi-skilled maintenance, utility, or construction work preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and safety practices.

Responsabilités

• Participates in construction, maintenance and repair of water and sewer lines.
• Operates light/medium equipment and performs routine maintenance on town assets.
• Responds to citizen concerns about water quality and meters readings.
• Performs landscaping, street maintenance and related tasks as needed.
• Maintains records and participates in town events setup.
