Job summary

The City of Malibu seeks an energetic Management Analyst to support the Public Works Department with project management, policy development, and budget administration. The role requires collaboration with lobbyists, elected officials, and municipal management, and offers opportunities to advance within the organization.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative, budgetary, operational, or program management experience.
• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Must possess and maintain a valid California class C driver license and have a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals, objectives, policies, procedures, work standards and administrative control systems.
• Coordinate and oversee departmental administrative, budgeting, and fiscal reporting activities.
• Plan and conduct effective management, administrative, and operational studies.
• Maintain accurate records and files in hard copy and computer formats.
• Work with contract consultants on projects and program management.
