Job summary

The City of Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced project administrator to oversee construction projects on city-owned facilities. You will plan, estimate, budget, scope, and design duties while coordinating vendors, consultants, and City staff to deliver multi-discipline capital projects within tight timeframes.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time diversified work experience managing multi-disciplined capital projects.
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field; or NCARB AXP Certificate or IDFX qualification.
• Total Qualifying Requirement is three years (education/training and/or work experience may be substituted year-for-year).

Responsibilities

• Supervises vendor work for planning, design, construction, construction management, and inspection of Capital projects.
• Applies knowledge of project management concepts, safety, and environmental disciplines.
• Identifies problems and recommends corrective action to adhere to schedule and budget.
• Prepares RFPs, project scope, and bid documents ensuring compliance with laws and regs.
• Maintains project budget, monitors progress, and verifies expenditures and invoices.
