Job summary

The City of Portland, Texas is seeking a Capital Projects Manager to efficiently manage and execute its Capital Improvement Program. You will oversee high-value projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, strong collaboration with stakeholders, and are responsible for delivering projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and have 5-7 years of relevant experience, along with preferred certifications such as CCM or PMP.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing capital projects with budgets exceeding $5M.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project/Construction Management, or related field.
  • Preferred certifications include CCM, PMP, or PgMP.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee capital projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and procurement plans.
  • Lead bid processes and ensure compliance with contractors and consultants.
  • Represent the City in emergencies requiring mandatory attendance.
