Job summary

The City of Panama City Beach is seeking a project manager to lead vertical construction, streets, stormwater, and related public works grants. You will supervise a team through design, bidding, and construction, ensuring projects are on time and on budget while maintaining safety and quality.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating with City departments and contractors, managing budgets and change orders, and reporting progress to the Public Works Director.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction technology and project management.
• 5+ years of project experience in government/construction preferred.
• Experience with large Government construction sites preferred.
• Understanding of basic principles related to duties, usually via apprenticeship or 1–2 years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with City management and departments to meet construction goals.
• Develop project plans, scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage consultants, contractors, and procurement.
• Oversee construction sites and enforce quality and safety.
• Assist with grant procurements and compliance.
• Prepare bid documents and change orders.
• Report project status to Public Works Director.
