Job summary

Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians in San Jacinto, CA seeks a Planning, Development and Operation Director to oversee the Public Works Department, including operations, planning and development, facilities oversight, project development and grant compliance.

The role requires leadership in budgeting, staff supervision, and coordination with engineers and external agencies to ensure code compliance and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or construction management experience of 10 years or more with leadership roles.
• Education in building maintenance or prior experience in large commercial/government facilities management.
• Five years of facilities maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and monitors long-term plans, goals and objectives of Public Works overall.
• Directs goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards for the department.
• Develops appropriate service and staffing levels.
• Secure funding sources including grant funding in coordination with Grants Administrator.
• Manages department budget and forecasts funds for staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Directs department personnel, trains and evaluates staff, enforces standards and procedures.

Education

Bachelor Degree or construction management experience with leadership roles

Building maintenance or large facilities management experience

Five years facilities maintenance experience
