Job summary

The role requires a civil/environmental technology diploma with 8 years municipal experience, a professional designation, and a valid G license.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in civil engineering technology or related field.
• Minimum eight years of progressive municipal infrastructure experience.
• Professional designation such as P.Eng or CET from OACETT.
• G license in good standing.
• Knowledge of drinking water and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance across Public Works services.
• Lead regulatory compliance activities for drinking water.
• Investigate and resolve complex operational issues.
• Develop and monitor operational programs and SOPs.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for senior management.
• Support capital projects and asset management input.
• Manage contracts, procurement and contractor performance.
• Support budget development and financial forecasting.
• Lead and develop staff within the team.
