Job summary

The City of West Park is seeking a Public Works Operations Manager to oversee the planning, maintenance, and repair of streets, stormwater systems, landscaping, lakes maintenance, and related public works functions.

In this role, you will supervise division superintendents, manage materials, personnel, and budgets, and coordinate with the City Administrator/Manager to meet timelines and deliver quality service to the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with municipal Public Works experience.
• Ten years’ municipal Public Works experience in streets, landscaping and stormwater.
• Minimum five years supervisory experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Contract Management Systems and Project Management Software.

Responsibilities

• Manage all programs and services offered by the City’s Public Works Department.
• Administer contractual maintenance operations and repair services.
• Supervise Stormwater, Streets and Landscaping Operational Activities.
• Prepare work procedures and schedules; manage staff workflow.
• Oversee budgets and inventory; ensure timely purchasing and cost control.
• Coordinate with Engineering & Construction on Storm Water Utility activities.
• Participate in planning, events and inter-department projects.
