Job summary

City of Brooksville is seeking an Assistant Director of Public Works to oversee street, stormwater, facilities, fleet, sanitation, and water/wastewater operations. You will help set department policies, budgets, bid documents, and project oversight while promoting professional conduct and excellent customer service.

This role requires emergency operations readiness and completion of required NIMS training; a bachelor’s degree and municipal supervisory experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across Public Works divisions.
• Assist in department policy, budget, bid document development.

• Coordinate projects with Director and Project Manager.
• Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
• Represent department in council meetings and emergencies.
