Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Maintenance Technician I: one year of residential or commercial construction, maintenance or repair experience.
• Maintenance Technician II: three years of residential or commercial construction, maintenance or repair experience.
• OR a combination of experience, education and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required.

Responsibilities

• Reports safety hazards and equipment problems to ensure safety.
• Operates heavy equipment such as back hoe, excavator, dump truck.
• Maintains streets, sidewalks, curbs and related infrastructure.
• Performs vegetation maintenance and grounds work.
• Responds to emergency snow and ice control operations.
