Job summary

Sonomacity is looking for a Maintenance Worker I/II to perform essential maintenance tasks across various divisions of the Public Works Department, including streets and parks. Candidates should have a strong understanding of construction tools and safe work practices.

The role involves operating construction vehicles, maintaining City facilities, and fostering effective working relationships with colleagues and the public. Training and experience in manual labor or construction are desired.

Qualifications

• Some construction or manual labor experience is desirable.
• Possibility to obtain a valid California driver's license.
• Water Distribution Operator Grade 1 certificate for water-related positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions in assigned division of Public Works.
• Operate and maintain construction vehicles and tools.
• Clean and maintain City facilities.
