Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with college coursework in public works management.
• Four years progressively responsible public works experience; three as lead worker.
• Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance and repair of streets, rights-of-way, parks, grounds, drainage, and facilities.
• Oversees contracts administration and coordination of city projects.
• Prepares division budget and controls expenditures.
• Plans work activities, prepares estimates, and monitors costs; evaluates policies and services to meet objectives.
• Reviews staff performance; enforces safety standards and city guidelines.
