Job summary

City of Jurupa Valley seeks an experienced operations leader to manage the Public Works Field Operations Division, overseeing street and sidewalk maintenance, fleet, parks, and building maintenance, and coordinating contracts.

The ideal candidate will lead staff, plan and evaluate programs, monitor budgets, and collaborate with other departments and outside agencies to improve service delivery for the community.

Qualifications

• Administrative principles and practices related to program development and evaluation.
• Budgetary, contract administration, and citywide administrative practices.
• Supervision of staff and training of personnel in procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage Public Works Field Operations programs, services, and activities.
• Develop and implement goals, objectives, and staffing levels; administer policies and procedures.
• Monitor service delivery efficiency and identify improvement opportunities; report to Deputy Director/City Engineer.
• Plan and review work plans, assign tasks, and monitor workflow and results.
• Direct staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluation; address deficiencies.
