Job summary

New Albany Public Service department seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform semi-skilled tasks across parks, utilities, streets, and facilities. You will assist in pavement repair, street maintenance, and snow removal while operating a variety of equipment.

Responsibilities include maintaining infrastructure, setting up traffic controls, and supporting special projects. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain an Ohio CDL within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and experience in construction/maintenance work is required.
• Ability to operate motorized, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pavement repair, patching cracks and potholes.
• Maintain infrastructure: paint signs, streetlights, hydrants, and related assets.
• Operate street maintenance equipment and assist in snow removal and salting.
• Perform right-of-way maintenance: clear debris, trim trees, set up traffic control, and signs.
• Participate in snow events and on-call rotation.
• Complete daily work reports and support public service projects.
