Job summary

The City of Wadsworth is seeking an Equipment Operator II to perform skilled to semi-skilled maintenance across departments. You will operate water, sewer, and street equipment, perform inspections, and assist with construction and repairs while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid Class A CDL, and the ability to work in varying weather. On-call standby is required; CDL training may be provided if not currently held.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of building and grounds maintenance methods.
• Experience with earth-moving and heavy equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of equipment and light vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform maintenance tasks on water, sewer, and street infrastructure.
• Read engineering drawings and locate underground utilities.
• Participate in on-call standby for weather-related emergencies.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
