Job summary

Springettsbury Township is seeking a Laborer/Operator 2 for the Public Works department. The role includes operating various Public Works equipment and leading small groups on maintenance tasks under supervision.

Duties also involve sewer maintenance and manual tasks in addition to routine inspections and record-keeping. The position requires a valid PA Class A CDL with air brakes and tanker endorsement within 24 months, and an E, Type 4 Wastewater certification or higher.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience as Laborer or Laborer/Operator 1 or equivalent.
• Experience operating trucks and mowing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates Public Works equipment (roller, tractor, dump truck, backhoe, loader, street sweeper, sewer cleaning/televising).
• Oversees sewer and manhole maintenance and performs minor repairs and record-keeping.
