Job summary

The City of Everett is seeking a Public Works Dispatcher to provide routine and emergent dispatching in the Public Works Department. You will maintain uninterrupted communication with field personnel, serve as the primary contact for the public, and route issues to the correct work group.

Responsibilities include updating logs, maintaining contact lists, monitoring utility service interruptions, and conveying important information about road closures and weather events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus at least two years in communication, scheduling, or dispatch duties.
• Public works experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with the public and field personnel.
