Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 4+ years of water resources experience.
• Virginia P.E. license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
• Excellent speaking, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications for water distribution/transmission, wastewater collection/conveyance, and stormwater systems.
• Research products and materials and conduct technical evaluations for water and wastewater conveyance planning and design.
• Assist with technical memoranda, studies, engineering reports, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Perform hydraulic modeling of water and sewer systems.
• Review shop drawings for conformance to contract documents.
• Assist with technical proposals during key project pursuits.
• Communicate and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Work with senior Project Engineers and Managers on project documents.
• Support and mentor junior staff, including EITs and technicians.
• Contribute to planning, design, engineering, and construction support for municipal infrastructure projects
