Job summary

County of Sandoval is seeking a Project Manager for the Public Works Department to oversee facility and road construction projects, ensuring budgets, schedules, and quality standards are met. The role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, and other county departments to ensure compliance with codes and funding requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in construction management and at least five years of project management experience, plus a NM driver’s license

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field with 5 years of facility/road construction management experience.
• Valid New Mexico Driver’s License; erosion control inspector certification within 6 months of appointment.
• Experience delivering medium to large construction projects with responsibility for budgets and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assess project needs for facility/road construction management and ensure compliance with county policies.
• Coordinate work with departments and outside entities, including permitting and approvals.
• Develop and administer stormwater compliance documents and ADA plans for the County.
• Review plans, specifications, pay applications, change orders, and contract documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and manage budgets for roadway and building projects; assist with funding applications.
