Job summary

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 3 years in public works, and the ability to obtain water and wastewater licenses within 3 years of hire. A physical exam is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years in public works construction/maintenance.
• Physical exam required.
• Valid CDL.
• Within 3 years, obtain Class C Water license and Wastewater II license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a small crew and assist foreman in planning work.
• Estimate materials, manpower, and equipment for projects.
• Assist street maintenance work including sealing cracks and patches.
• Operate trucks, street sweepers, and related equipment as needed.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are available for each job.
