Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. in San Antonio, TX invites motivated civil engineering students for a Public Works Intern position on our Public Works/Land Development team.

The internship offers 12–24 hours per week and pays hourly, with no housing provided. As an intern, you will assist in plan production, CAD drafting in AutoCAD/MicroStation, and design calculations under supervision, gaining exposure to public and private infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree.
• Great communication skills.
• Solid relationship and team building skills.
• Self-motivated and strong organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of plans and specifications for civil engineering projects under supervision.
• Perform CAD drafting work in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
