Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking an Engineering Technician to assist engineering staff with reviewing and preparing plans, investigations, and data collection for civil projects. This on-site role includes preparing CAD drawings using Civil 3D and ensuring compliance with city standards and ordinances.

Applicants should have an Associate's degree in engineering or related field and four years of municipal or civil engineering experience, plus a valid Texas Class C driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering, drafting, construction management or related field.
• Four years of related municipal/public entity or civil engineering firm experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of a valid Texas class C driver's license or higher.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, specs and maps.
• Experience with CAD software and field data collection activities.
