Job summary

The Engineering Technician at City of Conroe assists engineers by reviewing and preparing plans, conducting investigations, collecting data, and producing CAD drawings (Civil 3D). Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering, drafting, construction management or related field; four years of related municipal/public entity experience or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Texas driver's license (Class C or higher).

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering staff with reviewing and preparing plans, investigations, and data collection for civil projects.
• Prepare CAD drawings and ensure compliance with the City Subdivisions Ordinance and established construction standards.
• Support field activities, including basic surveys and inspecting site conditions as needed.
• Maintain records, files, and reports related to engineering projects.
